Job Description: Nanny for 4-Month-Old Infant
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Position Type: Full-time; Monday – Friday
Start Date: early February 2026
Compensation: $30-35/hr, based on experience
About the Family
We are a warm, caring family in Sunnyvale, California seeking a reliable, experienced nanny to provide loving, attentive care for our 4-month-old infant in our home.
Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for a 4-month-old infant
- Establish and follow feeding schedules (bottle-feeding, breast milk/formula handling, introduction of solids)
- Support age-appropriate developmental activities (tummy time, reading, singing, sensory play, stroller rides to the park)
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the baby
- Diapering, dressing, and bathing the infant as needed
- Establish and follow nap routines
- Wash and sanitize bottles, pump parts, and infant-related items
- Baby-related laundry and light housekeeping (tidying play areas, nursery organization)
- Communicate daily updates with parents regarding feeding, naps, mood, and milestones
Qualifications
- Prior experience caring for infants (newborn to 6 months strongly preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (infant-specific; or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of infant development and safety best practices
- Non-smoker
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to pass background check and provide references
- Comfortable working in a home with parents who may work from home
Preferred Qualifications
- Early childhood education or child development background
- Experience with sleep routines and gentle sleep training approaches
- Multilingual (not required)
- Long-term commitment preferred (1 year +)
Schedule
Days: (e.g., Monday–Friday)
Hours: (e.g., 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Occasional flexibility for schedule changes is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay based on experience
- This position is paid on the books via payroll (W-2) in compliance with California labor laws. Cash-only payments are not available.
- Guaranteed hours (if applicable)
- Paid holidays and/or paid time off
- Sick leave per California labor laws
- Mileage reimbursement for child-related outings (if applicable)
